National Sports Development Seminar
06/10/2010 - 07/10/2010
With ever increasing pressure on the resources being used to manage the design and delivery of sports development the challenge to all those responsible for this delivery is to manage more while using less.
Money is tight, budgets limited and the prospects for increases unlikely mean that for the first time in a generation the year on year funding for the development of sport is likely to decrease.
So the challenge is set – to maintain the standards of the past decade, to deliver continued change, to inspire greater levels of physical activity amongst the general population and to do so in a new age of austerity.
The 19th National Sports Development Seminar will support the industry and the key stakeholders involved to meet this challenge head on and to leave the conference empowered and inspired to design the programmes, build the partnerships and deliver the projects to ensure that local and national government as well as the general population recognise the continued value of the sports development industry.
