BTEC Level 1 Foundation Award in Routine Playground Inspection

The Level 1 BTEC Foundation Award in Routine Playground Inspection is designed to give individuals the knowledge, understanding and skills needed for the safe inspection of a play facility at routine level.

Who should attend?

This Foundation Award is suitable for individuals employed within a variety of organisations with an outdoor playground facility.  Ideally suited for those with responsibility for the daily checks of the equipment, such as schools, councils, publicans and parish councils.  We ensure that the delivery of the course syllabus is relevant to all those who attend.

Course outcomes

By the end of the course delegates should be able to:

• Establish the general safety requirements for the inspection and maintenance of playground at a routine level.

Course duration

• 1 Day + completion of inspection report

Revalidation period

• Annual verification, 3 yearly update of material.
