BTEC Level 2 Intermediate Award in Operational Playground Inspection

The Level 2 BTEC Intermediate Award in Operational Playground Inspection is designed to give individuals the knowledge, understanding and skills needed for the safe operation and inspection of a play facility.

Who should attend?

This Intermediate Award is suitable for individuals employed within a variety of organisations with an outdoor playground facility.  The course is suited for those with responsibility for a more detailed monthly examination, giving a greater in-depth knowledge for health and safety, i.e. councils, parish councils and persons involved in park management.  We ensure that the delivery of the course syllabus is relevant to all those who attend.

Course outcomes

By the end of the course delegates should be able to:

• Identify and understand the general requirements for a safe playground including the recommendations of BS EN 1176
• Demonstrate knowledge for the general requirements for the inspection of a playground at operational level.

Course duration

• 2 Day + completion of inspection report

Revalidation period

• Annual verification, 3 yearly update of material.
