Event Safety Management and Site Design

Event risk assessments are a creative and innovative tool allowing more diverse and challenging events to take place whilst fully complying with the law.

This one-day workshop will help everyone involved in the organisation, licensing and enforcement of safety events.

Course outcomes

Delegates will learn about:

  • The legal requirements;
  • What a risk assessment is and isn't;
  • Evaluation of the event;
  • Evaluation of the venue;
  • Venue and site design.

 

Minimum experience

Preference working in events but not necessary

Technical Area (National Occupation Standard/Level)

 

C27 ensure the health, safety, welfare and security of customers and staff (LM, SD)

C240 Manage health, safety, security and welfare in sport and active leisure (MS)

Assessment method - Site design evaluation
